Friday, 10.55am - NURSERY education at Grantham Preparatory School has been graded outstanding by Government inspectors.
The school's Early Years and Reception classes were inspected by Ofsted last month and given outstanding ratings in each category.

Inspectors highlighted many areas of excellence, including the quality of teaching and learning, progress in communication, language and literacy, children's access to information technology, the quality of relationships between staff and parents and leadership and management.

Inspector Elisabeth Wright said: "Children in the setting make exceptional progress because the staff have a thorough understanding of how they learn and develop and ensure that each child's individual development needs are identified and supported.

"The setting has a clear sense of purpose, direction and vision for future development."

Deputy headteacher Pam Harman said: "To receive an "outstanding" judgement by Ofsted is a wonderful achievement for everyone involved and shows that Grantham Preparatory School provides an excellent start in education for children."
