A young artist who was inspired to paint by Rolf Harris will be exhibiting his work at Grantham Museum next weekend.
Anthony Johnson, 26, of Castlegate in Grantham will be showcasing his artwork at the museum from November 8 until November 10.
A chance childhood meeting with Rolf encouraged Anthony to turn to art.
He said: “I was at a fete with my grandparents when it began raining. We ran indoors for shelter and there was Rolf Harris sketching people.
“My grandparents asked him to do a portrait of me and he did.
“He also did something for me when I was ill in hospital. He drew a little card for me.”
Anthony studied the history of art at the Glasshouse College in Stourbridge, travelling to Florence and Venice as part of his studies.
He has put on one private exhibition but this will be the first public display of his work.
Anthony said: “It will be really good and interesting. I’m looking forward to it.”
