Bakery chain in Grantham looks for more staff just weeks after opening

Bakery chain Greggs has created up to 16 jobs with the opening of a new outlet in Grantham.

The baker and sandwich maker has opened at the Moto Services just off the A1 at Gonerby Moor.

The response to the store has been fantastic.

The store, which initially recruited eight staff, was officially declared open by the Mayor of Grantham Cllr Jacky Smith at a ceremony watched by staff.

The store has already been in operation for a short time and manager Michelle James said the business was flourishing and extra staff were needed.

“This is a new venture for Moto Grantham and the new store is very popular.

She added: “The response to the store has been fantastic.

“Our feet have hardly touched the ground since we opened.

“We are already looking to take on more staff for full and part time positions various hours.”

Mrs James said the store needed up to eight more people in part-time and full-time roles working various shifts.
