Dogs big and small descended on Earlesfield Lane for this year’s Ruff Diamonds Family Dog Show, held last Saturday.

Both man’s best friend and their owners took to the show ring to compete in a number of tail wagging categories, including Cutest Puppy, Luckiest Rescue, Child’s Best Friend and Dog that looks most like its Owner.

One of the winners included Aaren Wharmby and his puppy Mower, who won Best Puppy and then Best in Show!

The winners in each category were chosen by the judge, Merle Dekanski, who is a local small animal physiotherapist.

A total of £120 was raised on the day, which will be donated to the Cinnamon Trust, the national charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets.

Ruff Diamonds will also be running the upcoming dog show at St Sebastian’s Primary School Family Gala on Saturday, July 2 - so don’t miss out!
