A PLAQUE to Charles Dickens is to be unveiled in Grantham next month.
The Grantham Civic Society plaque will be at the George Shopping Centre, once home to the George Hotel.
The world-famous author once stayed at the Grantham hotel and referenced it in Nicholas Nickleby, describing it as “one of the best inns in England.
The plaque will be unveiled at a special ceremony at the George Shopping Centre on Friday, August 9 at 2.30pm. Grantham historian Malcolm Knapp will unveil the plaque and Canon Chris Andrews will give a blessing.
