FOUR men appeared in court this morning in connection with a six-hour rooftop stand-off in Grantham town centre yesterday (Thursday).
The four men appeared at Grantham Magistrates’ Court, and will go on to stand trial at crown court at a later date.
They are Andrew Donner, aged 22, of Summerton Road in Immingham, Samuel Donner, aged 21, of Ings Lane in Immingham, Dean Hanes, aged 23, of Winslow Drive in Immingham, and David Neve, aged 27, of Grimsby Road in Cleethorpes.
All four are charged with three counts of burglary, alleged to have taken place at Vibe nightclub in Westgate, 2 Westgate and Westgate Crafts.
Hanes and Neve are also charged with affray.
None of the men entered pleas in court this morning. Magistrates declined to hear their cases based on the seriousness of the offences, and so they will be committed to crown court for trial.
All except Hanes were remanded into custody, while Hanes was granted conditional bail. The conditions are that he has no contact with the other three men, not to enter Lincolnshire except by appointment with a solicitor, to be subject to an electronic curfew between 6pm and 6am, and to reside at an address in Winslow Drive, Immingham. He must return to court on August 3 for committal to crown court, while the remaining three will appear via video link.
