THE future of Ancaster based firm A C Williams Coaches is secure after an investor stepped in to buy it last night.
The jobs of all 25 members of staff are safe and the new owner, Glen Pratt, hopes to expand the firm and create more jobs over the coming years.
The future of the business had been threatened after the closure in December of its sister business A C Williams Renault car dealership, which was based in Harlaxton Road, Grantham.
Mr Pratt, who was a successful investment fund manager in London, said: “A C Williams is now fully funded for a long term future and the whole team is very excited at the prospect, with many new plans set to go ahead against the secure backing that’s in place.
“Those plans will build on the values the company is known for - safety, reliability, comfort and value for money.”
The business will be keeping the A C Williams name and the Williams family’s involvement with former directors David Williams and Alison Parker fulfilling non-managerial roles within the company.
Booked trips will take place as planned and customer’s deposits are safe.
