Former Marston Agricultural Services Trailers site comes to market

The former base of a farm trailers manufacturer near Grantham has gone on to the market.

The 21-acre site just off the A1 at Marston was home to Marston Agricultural Services for 35 years before it went into administration in November last year.

The family-owned business, which had manufactured trailers in the village for more than 60 years, was said to have been hit by

challenging economic conditions.

The brand and stock was sold to Hunton Legg, of Woodbridge, Suffolk, which said it intended to resume manufacturing in Suffolk.

The sale of the site is being handled by Alastair Fearn of FHP Property Consultants. He said the approximately 66,000 sq ft of manufacturing warehousing premises had attracted considerable interest.

He added: “It is relatively rare for a site of this size in a strong strategic location for the area to come to the market.

“We have already had significant interest in the site with block viewings planned for the first week of September.”
