Grantham shops will take part in a treasure hunt as part of the Gravity Fields Festival in September.
At a meeting of the Grantham Retailers Association (GRA) last week, a number of independent stores said they would like to take part in the treasure hunt during Gravity Fields which runs from September 24 to 28.
Shoppers will be given a treasure map telling them to look for an apple in those shops taking part. When they find an apple they have their map stamped and there will be vouchers to win for those who collect so many stamps.
David Charles, founder of GRA, said a good number of independent businesses had shown support for the treasure hunt and also for late night opening hours on Saturday, September 27, the penultimate night of Gravity Fields. It is planned to open until 9pm.
