Employees of the Quality Furniture Company in Grantham were congratulated on the completion of a management course with a special dinner.
Staff from the sofa manufacturing firm, in Alma Park Road, were taken out to Belton Woods Hotel as a thank you for their hard work in completing the extensive training programme.
A spokesman said: “This is part of a substantial investment in staff development to deliver the company’s business excellence programme.”
Another piece of good news for the Grantham employer is an expansion which has created 70 jobs.
As reported in the Journal, QFC acquired second premises in Grantham, in Swingbridge Road, in a bid to meet growing demand from its customers.
Lincoln-based chartered surveyors Hodgson Elkington LLP worked with the firm to take the expansion forward, securing a four-year lease.
The firm’s Tim Murgatroyd said: “The new building extends to 80,000 sq ft of ground floor warehousing and offices, divided in to four bays of approximately 20,000 sq ft each, plus a further 40,000 sq ft of mezzanine storage.
“It puts the building back in to its former use after being vacant for approximately two years.”
