Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham is a treat for dogs

Dogs are welcome at Stoke Rochford Hall.

Pooches are made very welcome at Stoke Rochford Hall now that it has become a ‘dog-friendly’ hotel.

Four-legged creatures can enjoy their holiday with their owners thanks to the decision by the Victorian mansion to accept pets.

And with 28 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland it’s the perfect doggy destination.

As well as its own extensive and picturesque grounds, the hotel also has direct access to a host of countryside walks that cross the area.

After a good run, dogs can retire to their room where they have their very own doggy towel, water bowl and treats.

Dogs are welcome in most public areas within the hotel, except the restaurant and terrace bar and bistro, and guests who want to bring their pet along can do so for just an extra £15 per stay.

And unlike some hotels offering dog stays, any room can be booked, including the mansion bedrooms.

Details of local walks are available from the hotel reception, including four ‘ramblers routes’ ranging from 40-minute strolls to three-and-a-half hour treks taking in villages and rolling parkland.
