A business support project launched by South Kesteven District Council has “got off to a flying start”, according to the local authority.

SKDC4Business aims to support new start-ups and micro businesses to grow, innovate and prosper. So far, it has seen over 100 business interactions, including nearly 40 face to face meetings.

The project is being funded by SKDC and delivered in partnership with Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce through specialised business advisor Paul Parkinson.

Well-known Grantham Rotarian Paul Wilson is one businessman to make good use of the scheme. He runs PR Wilson Media, a social media consultancy and training firm, and wanted a professional pair of eyes to see the potential of his business and get some focussed ideas on how to take it forward.

He said: “I received professional and valuable advice. My business advisor, Paul Parkinson, had a broad knowledge of online marketing, and was friendly and very happy to help.”
