Crop dryer fire at Foston
A FIRE broke out in a building being used to dry crops at a farm near Foston yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
The crop dryer blaze started just after 3pm and caused damage to the building as well as a trailer and a quantity of tyres.
There was also smoke damge to crops being stored in the building.
Firefighters from Grantham, Newark and Brant Broughton were called to tackle the fire.
• Firefighters from Grantham were called to a flat in Marratt’s Lane, Great Gonerby, at 7.30pm last night after a fire broke out in an unnattended grill pan.
Thefire damaged the cooker and caused light smoke damage to three rooms.
