JOB-SEEKERS are encouraged to boost their prospects by visiting an upcoming jobs fair in Grantham.
The fair, on September 15, will form part of South Kesteven District Council’s ‘Enterprise Week’, which will run September 10-17.
Representatives from more than 20 companies will be on hand to discuss jobs and give help and advice, including Quality Furniture, Brake Bros, the Woodland Trust, Belton Woods Hotel, Totemic and the Armed Forces.
The fair will not only benefit job-seekers but also those looking to embark on a new career.
It will be held in the ballroom at the Guildhall Arts Centre, in St Peter’s Hill, between 10am and 2pm on Thursday, September 15.
SKDC’s ‘Enterprise Week’ is a week of events designed to give businesses a boost and give those wanting to start on a new career path or start up their own business the tools to do so.
Workshops will take place throughout the week. Kicking off is ‘Shed to Shop’ on Saturday, September 10 - a two-day workshop to help inventors find out how to create and improve their invention before finding a successful route to market.
Other workshops include presentation skills for business, a business support and advice day, speed networking, business surgeries, entrepreneurial business development and planning, and selling to local government.
Also available are places on a fire safety awareness workshop, and emergency first aid at work.
