Developer L&H Homes has completed the construction of 40 houses at Poplar Farm in Grantham.

Following a £3.5 million investment from L&H Homes, including £100,000 of funding from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), the development on former farmland now offers a mixture of affordable homes.

To mark the occasion key partners from Lindum Construction, South Kesteven District Council, Lace Housing and Longhurst Group met today to declare the L&H Homes properties officially complete.

L&H Homes is building a mixture of one bedroom flats, one, two and three bedroom houses and two bedroom bungalows for affordable rent, which have been allocated through the choice based lettings scheme and two bedroom and three bedroom houses for shared ownership.

A further 30 properties are being built for Lace Housing and are due to complete in March 2016. This will include two-bedroom flats and two-bedroom bungalows specifically for older people.

Sidney McFarlane MBE, Chairman of L&H Homes, said: “Building these homes plays a vital part in helping more people in Grantham find high quality homes they can afford and we look forward to continuing on our strong relationships with South Kesteven District Council, Lindum Construction and Lace Housing.”
