Grantham brewery mark centenary of RAF Coningsby
Robert March, owner of the Newby Wyke Brewery in Grantham, brews the 'Cock 'n' Ale' beer for the No 3 Squadron, based at RAF Coningsby.
A BREWERY based in Grantham has created a special beer to mark the centenary of RAF Coningsby.
Robert March, owner of Newby Wyke Brewery, on the Alma Park Industrial Estate, has created the Cock ’n’ Ale, a beer commissioned specially for No 3 Squadron of the RAF.
Robert said: “It’s a privilege and an honour to be involved with this.”
The pump clip design features the No 3 Squadron motto: The Third Shall Be First.
The motto is a reference to the fact that the squadron was the first to be equipped with heavier-than-air machines.
