A new jewellers is set to open in Grantham.
Leicestershire-based jewellers Grace & Co will open up in what was an opticians in The Isaac Newton Shopping Centre walkway.
The chain’s sixth store, it will create five jobs and is expected to open later this month.
Owner Mick McQuillan said he chose Grantham as it is a “thriving town with a good sense of community and fantastic schools”.
He added: “So many people have said how pleased they are that we are coming to Grantham. I have been coming here for years with work; it’s a really friendly town and I’m delighted to be here.”
Fifteen brands will be on sale, including Pandora, Thomas Sabo, Swarovski and Vivienne Westwood.
Mr McQuillan said: “Prices start at £10 for simple silver pieces and go up to £3,000 for Pandora gold, so we can help customers find the perfect piece of jewellery no matter what their budget. We have access to the most popular brands, and we will also change our brands regularly, making sure that we keep abreast with fashions.”
Councillor Frances Cartwright, South Kesteven District Council’s portfolio holder for grow the economy, said: “Bringing new businesses to Grantham is a top priority for South Kesteven District Council and the news that Grace & Co is expanding their business here is fantastic and shows that Grantham really is a town going places.
“Grace & Co met with SKDC through the SKDC4Business support scheme and they discussed their plans to expand their business to Grantham, along with promotions, events and business clubs in the area.
“Working with new and existing businesses, helps us to build relationships, establish their future and help create the environment for them to thrive and grow.”
