There is still time for businesses to enter into the Gravity Fields treasure trail.
Retailers taking part will not only be supporting Grantham’s arts and science festival (September 24-28), but they may also see an increase in trade, says Grantham Retailers Association.
The organisation is backing the treasure trail concept. The idea is to hide an apple in a shop window or within the premises. Participants collect treasure trail maps and will seek out the apples throughout the festival. When they spot the apple they will go into the shop and ask for a stamp on their treasure trail map.
Once they have 10 stamps, they enter their map into a draw to win vouchers from a prize fund, to be spent in participating shops.
Participating businesses are asked to contribute £20 to the fund. Therefore the more businesses that take part, the higher the prize fund available to customers.
