EMPTY premises in Grantham town centre will reopen as a pharmacy next month.
The Lloyds pharmacy plans to expand, relocating from its current premises in the Market Place to the larger High Street site formerly occupied by menswear shop Burton and latterly used as a base for the town’s Jubilee Christian Fellowship.
It is hoped the pharmacy will open its doors to the refurbished space on April 18.
Moving to the larger premises will allow the pharmacy to offer customers more choice.
Lloyds’ area manager Adrian Bunn said: “The new larger premises will increase our retail space enabling us to offer a wider range of products to our customers.
“Customers will continue to receive a full range of services at our new premises including healthcare advice and clinical services, dispensing of medication as well as our increased product range.”
Existing staff will transfer to the new premises, and the relocation will also create an additional job.
Although Lloyds will lease the entire building, public access will be restricted to the ground floor only.
