Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms, Nottinghamshire’s only Michelin star restaurant, has once more been recognised by Michelin and been awarded a second Michelin star in the prestigious Michelin Guide, 2012.
Sat Bains opened Restaurant Sat Bains with his wife Amanda in 2002. The following year they won the county’s only Michelin star and in less that a decade have gone on to achieve numerous national and international awards and huge critical acclaim.
This award of a second Michelin star firmly marks Restaurant Sat Bains and the East Midlands on the culinary map.
Sat’s cuisine is based on a philosophy of Taste, Texture and Temperature and offers diners a choice of 7 or 10 course tasting menus showcasing the very best of regional British ingredients. A champion of local produce - he even has a dish on the menu called “NG7 2SA” (the restaurant’s post code) as all the ingredients are foraged locally. Passionate about the quality and integrity of his ingredients, Sat has demonstrated his dishes on international platforms including Paris, Milan, Melbourne, Kyoto and New York.
