South Kesteven District Council is helping food businesses in South Kesteven by providing food safety courses in Stamford and Grantham.
Food handlers are invited to attend one of the eight sessions throughout 2016 that will help them improve their knowledge of food safety and achieve a CIEH/Highfield Level 2 Award in Food Safety.
It will cover methods on avoiding food poisoning and its prevention, food safety management systems and a summary of food law.
The sessions available:
*Stamford Arts Centre, 9.30am to 5pm: February 23, June 21 September 20 and November 22
*Glen Room, SKDC offices, St Peter’s Hill, Grantham, 9.30am to 5pm: February 16, June 6, September 7 and November 14
The training is provided by Craig Fowler and Andy Dawson, registered with the Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) and members of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, working in partnership with SKDC and South Holland District Council.
Businesses can also arrange to be visited at their premises to receive the guidance to achieve the award.
