TODAY marks the launch of Local Business Accelerators - a Newspaper Society campaign designed to give small fledgling businesses a head-start.

The £15m national initiative hands power to hundreds of regional newspapers - including the Grantham Journal - and is backed all the way by Prime Minister David Cameron.

There is also a chance for one lucky business to receive a whole year’s mentoring and consultation from Dragons’ Den favourite and self-made business guru Deborah Meaden.

So today, and for the coming weeks, the Journal is appealing to businesses at the start of their lives who are active in the local community, and between one and three years old – and full of potential.

On offer from us for one lucky winner is a three-month run of professionally designed advertisements in prominent positions in the Journal, as well as across ALL our digital platforms, for FREE!

So get applying now. A shortlist will be drawn up by Journal Editor James Mitchinson, Journal Commercial Director Carole Yetman, SKDC Chief Executive Beverly Agass and Grantham Business Club Chairman, and Specsavers director Bijal Ladva.
