Weddings will return to historic Grantham building

The Priory will soon be hosting weddings again.

ONE of the town’s more impressive buildings will once again be used to host weddings it was announced this week.

The Priory at 7 Market Place was once Grantham Register Office before that function was moved to Springfield House. Now the building will once again be used for weddings, as well as a business and conference venue.

Director Sue Hodgson said: “While conducting market research for the building we found that many people were really keen on wanting to have their wedding here so we applied for our wedding licence and we are able to have weddings here from September 1.”

Sue is delighted with the setting of the building which is right in the town centre with access off Conduit Lane but also secluded enough for people to escape the hustle and bustle.

Sue said: “It is a really intimate, small venue where the ambiance complements the building while the grounds provide a beautiful backdrop for photographs.”
