Cambridge scientist to give lecture on science and faith

A PRESTIGIOUS lecture on the relationship between science and religion takes place at Grantham College on Friday evening (May 13).

Churches Together has invited Dr Denis Alexander to deliver its second annual lecture on issues in science and religion.

Dr Alexander, director of the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion at Cambridge University, will give a lecture entitled Creation or Evolution - Do We Have to Choose?

The academic has held a variety of posts at universities in the Middle East and in the UK and written numerous books and articles on biochemistry and religion. He is the editor of the journal Science and Christian Belief.

The lecture takes place in the college lecture theatre at 7.30pm. Admission is free.
