TOWN co-manager Jimmy Albans described after the game how everyone at the club had been working towards promotion since he and Wayne first arrived.
Albans said: “The expectation level from the day me and Wayne walked in has not changed from then until now. They wanted to win the league and we had a plan to get out of the league.
“It’s come to fruition today and I’m pleased for everybody...me and Wayne as well.”
Albans praised chairman Steve Boam and everyone who had helped push the club forward in recent years.
He said: “First and foremost the football club deserve it. They have got themselves again in a position of strength. The chairman has come in who we have been working with now for 18 months, nearly two years and he’s steadied the boat, he’s always backed us whenever we’ve needed anything.
“He’s allowed us to go out and spend money that he probably doesn’t have at the time to get ourselves in this position.”
