A TRIO of colleagues at a Grantham beauty salon dressed in their lycra and embarked on a 26-mile cycle challenge to raise money for charity.

Emma Johnson, Yvonne Curtis, Kathryn Appleyard work together at Grantham Beauty Clinic, in Vine Street, and decided to ride around Rutland Water in aid of The Prostate Cancer Charity.

They completed their challenge last Sunday, supported by family and friends and raising £700 for the good cause.

Around half of the £700 raised in sponsorship was given by clients at the dalon.

Salon owner Sarah Howell is proud of her employees.

She said: “The girls would like to thank everyone who donated to the cause- they are very grateful.”
