Obit - ALLISS

MR Malcolm Alliss, of Rosemary Crescent, Grantham, has died at home. He was 66.

He was born in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

Married to Carol, he has three children, Joanne, Jacqui and Jason. He also leaves his mother, Iris, sister, Valerie and grandchildren, Nyle, Emilie, Marcus and Megan.

Mr Allis was an electrician and during his working life he had been employed by the East Midlands Electricity Board; Reads Canning Factory; PAS; Aveling Barford (20 years); and Padleys (20 years). He took early retirement in 2009.

He enjoyed gardening and walking, particularly taking his dog, Tara, around Denton reservoir. He loved nature and bird watching. During the 1980s Mr Allis was a Special Police Constable.

Robert Holland conducted the funeral service at Grantham Crematorium Chapel.

Family mourners included: Carol Alliss, Joanne Harper, Jacqui Alliss, Jason Alliss, Iris Alliss, Valerie Drage, Wayne Harper, Nyle Alliss, Megan Wilkinson-Alliss, Emilie Harper, Marcus Harper, Phil Drage, Frank and Sylvia Tinsley, Gill and Charlotte Tinsley, David Tinsley, Jane Lee, Warren Lee, Deborah and Craig Burdett, Beverley and Anton Burdett, Sharon and Jon Moncaster, Jim Wakefield and David, Vic and Simon Marriott, Kate and Corey Bailey, Ian and Nicola Drage, Alec and Hilda Marriott, and Kerry Tinsley.

Other mourners included: Leslie Parnell, Jonathan and Jeanette Harper, Sue and Tony Dawson, Margaret Sentence, John Shotliff, Terry Palethorpe, Richard and Patricia Weston, Rob Thompson, Mr and Mrs J. Kelham, Liz Kennedy-Short, Mr B. Gibson, Bryan Finch, Tony Jackson, Chris Calpin, Sadie Calpin, Maureen Richards, Mr and Mrs Canham, Shirley and Tony Warner, Beryl Bursnall, Mr and Mrs Duller, Mr and Mrs Howitt, Dave Lin Oliver, Mr and Mrs Howitt, Mrs Jepson, Lora Milestone, Sue Quanborough, Lorna Maguire, Shiona Moore, Jean Lee, Margaret Mann and Ian Redfern.

Funeral arrangements were by Robert Holland, St Catherine’s Road, Grantham.

Donations were received for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
