There is still time to enter this year’s Carnival Princess competition.

We have joined forces with carnival organisers to select a girl aged between 10 and 15 who will be crowned the town’s 2013 Carnival Princess.

The winner will receive a dress, jewellery and a professional photograph. She will be selected at the Grantham Carnival Princess ceremony at the Grantham College Refectory on Saturday, May 18, and we are looking for 50 candidates to take part.

To be in the running to become Grantham’s Carnival Princess 2013 you must be a girl who will be aged between 10 and 15 inclusive on June 15. Entrants must live in the Journal coverage area and be available from 6pm on May 18 and during the carnival weekend of June 15 and 16.

The Carnival Princess will also win a stunning dress and a tiara from Unveiled by Leanne, in Westgate, Grantham, plus a necklace from the carnival committee. Every candidate will receive a professional Journal photograph.

To enter, simply pick up a copy of the Journal, fill out the coupon and send it in to us.

Also on the page are forms to enter a float into the parade and to request a stall over the weekend.
