TREES will be planted in parks in Grantham as part of a national campaign.
South Kesteven District Council plans to plant 100 trees in Dysart Park, 30 trees in Wyndham Park and 61 in Queen Elizabeth Park as part of National Tree Week, which begins on November 26.
The trees have been provided by Grantham-based charity the Woodland Trust, the Sainsbury’s Trees for Schools Scheme, Wyndham Park Forum and the council.
SKDC head of assets Paul Stokes said: “National Tree Week is a great chance for communities to do something positive for their local treescape.”
