Cases brought before magistrates sitting in Lincoln recently include:

Tony John Bateman, 39, of Harrow Street, Grantham: denies jointly stealing a quantity of baby food worth £20 from Lincolnshire Co-op on May 1. Remanded on unconditional bail to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court for trial on October 5.

Jamie Brendan Chapman, 18, of Sunningdale, Grantham: admits two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm in Lincoln on May 7. Community order made requiring 100 hours’ unpaid work, £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Connor Brown, 34, of North Street, Grantham: guilty of using a Ford vehicle in Dysart Road, Grantham, with no test certificate on January 7. Fined £220, £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Kieran Devenish, 19, of South Heath Lane, Grantham: guilty of using a BMW vehicle in Kesteven Street, Lincoln, when the grooves of the tyre fitted to the front nearside were not of a depth of at least 1.6mm. Fined £440, £44 victim surcharge, £85 costs and driving licence endorsed with three points.

Lian Douglas Grant, 27, of Trent Road, Grantham: guilty of driving a Vauxhall vehicle in Harlaxton Road, Grantham, while not wearing a seatbelt. Fined £220, £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Li Hua Lomas, 38, of Shaw Road, Grantham: guilty of driving an MG vehicle on the A1 at Grantham on January 6 otherwise than in accordance with a licence and without insurance. Fined £200, £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs and driving licence endorsed with six points.

Liam Pulfrey, 18, of Ermine Close, Ancaster: guilty of driving an Audi vehicle on Toll Bar Road with no insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence on January 10. Fined £120, £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs and driving licence endorsed with six points.

Jayne Elizabeth Dixon, 61, of The Grange, Grantham: admits assault by beating in Redcross Street, Grantham, on June 17. Discharged conditionally for six months, £20 victim surcharge and £50 costs.

Simon James Perrett, 45, of Gladstone Terrace, Grantham: admits stealing a bottle of vodka worth £13.99 from B&M Bargains, Grantham, on June 9. Discharged conditionally for six months, £20 victim surcharge and £20 costs.

Patrick Sawicki, 34, of Dysart Grange, Long Bennington: admits failing to provide a specimen of breath, after being stopped in a vehicle, at Grantham Police Station on July 2. Fined £120, £30 victim surcharge, £50 costs and disqualified from driving for 36 months.

Danny Duffy, 33, of Braithwaite Avenue, Bradford: admits having with him a kitchen knife with a 20cm blade in Kinoulton Court, Grantham, on May 19. Committed to prison for eight weeks due to the seriousness of the offence and size of the knife, and £115 victim surcharge.

Marcovici Vasile Devis, 33, of St Catherine’s Road, Grantham: guilty of failing to give information relating to the driver of a Peugeot vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence on March 8. Fined £660, £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs and driving licence endorsed with six points.

Malgorzata Teresa Sapieja, 36, of Highcliffe Road, Grantham: admits driving a Seat Leon in Finkin Street, Grantham, on May 23 with 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. Also admits failing to surrender to custody at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on July 21. Community order made, fined £120, £85 victim surcharge, £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 23 months.

Matthew Miles King, 20, of Brittain Drive, Grantham: admits using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Market Place, Grantham, on January 24. Community order made requiring 100 hours’ unpaid work, £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

William Reeve, 36, of Rectory Lane, Leadenham: accused of causing grievous bodily harm in Leadenham on April 30. Sent for trial at Lincoln Crown Court on August 25.

Waldemar Wardecki, 54, of Rugby Court, Grantham: guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a Vauxhall vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence on March 22. Fined £660, £66 victim surcharge, £85 costs and driving licence endorsed with six points.

Newton Fallowell Ltd, London Road, Grantham: guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a Vauxhall vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence, on June 9. Fined £585, £58 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Karl Liam Peacock, 24, of Warmington Avenue, Grantham: admits driving a Ford vehicle in Belmont Grove, Grantham, on July 19 with 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35 microgrammes. Also admits assaulting a constable in the execution of his duty, using a vehicle with no insurance and while disqualified from driving, all on July 19. Also admits driving a Kia vehicle dangerously in Dysart Road, driving while disqualified and without insurance in Earlesfield Lane on August 3, and failing to provide a specimen of breath on August 4. Committed to Lincoln Crown Court for sentence, remanded into custody.
