SEVEN burglaries in the Grantham area over the weekend are believed by police to be linked.
It is also thought that burglars purposefully targeted the homes of elderly people.
Three homes in Manners Street, Grantham, were burgled and jewellery stolen from one home. In each burglary, a rear window was forced open.
Crooks smashed their way into a house in Long Street, Great Gonerby, through a patio door. A house in Angel Court and two in Water Lane, Ancaster, were also broken into.
Inspector Nigel Storey said: “Residents in warden controlled housing or in areas where elderley people live should be vigilant and report immediately to us anything considered to be suspicious.”
