DRINKING the night before caused a woman to miss a stop sign and crash into another car in Colsterworth on September 25, a court heard.
Leanne Robbins, 23, admitted being over the legal drink drive limit after the accident in Bourne Road at 7.55am that day.
Chris Pye-Smith, defending, said: “She felt fine to drive but she was actually over the limit. She was very surprised to discover that was the case. Alcohol takes longer to get out of the system than people realise.”
Robbins, of Wilkes Gardens, Uppingham, was disqualified from driving for 14 months and fined £235 plus costs.
