A LORRY driver will keep his job despite having 13 points on his licence.
Adrian Cowan, 46, was caught speeding on Bridge End Road, Grantham, on January 4. He admitted driving at 42mph in a 30mph limit when he appeared in court on Friday.
Cowan, who already had nine points on his licence, pleaded that a disqualification would lead to exceptional hardship.
He said he would lose his job as a HGV Class One driver and he would struggle to get another job because he lives in a remote location in Fen Road, Pointon.
Magistrates fined Cowan £225 plus £43 costs and £15 victim surcharge. They also gave him four penalty points, but did not disqualify him.
