A DRINK driver had his case adjourned so he can find out whether or not the offence will cost him his job.
Robert Tettey, of Goodliff Road, Grantham, was spotted by police driving erratically while turning from Harlaxton Road in to Springfield Road.
Police attempted to pull him over and he mounted the kerb numerous times before coming to a stop.
Tettey, who admitted drink driving, told the court it was “fifty-fifty” over whether the drink drive conviction would lose him his job.
Ros Gulson, chairman of magistrates, said: “Unfortunately we cannot really sentence you because of issues with your job.
“There will be a huge disparity between the sentence we give if you’re in work rather than if you are unemployed.”
The case was adjourned until Thursday so Tettey can speak to his employer.
