Drug using clubber fined £250

PAYING to get into a club cost Liam Berry, of Goodliff Road, Grantham, £250.

Berry, 25, dropped a small plastic bag out of his pocket when he was trying to get money to get into Infernos in Grantham High Street.

The door staff picked up the bag and handed it to the police, who confirmed it contained half a gram of cocaine.

Berry admitted he had bought a gram for £40 for personal use.

Fining Berry £150 plus costs, District Judge Richard Blake said: “It’s a nasty drug. You don’t know what you’re putting up your nose. It’s up to you if you carry on taking it you’ll end up inside or you will damage your heart.”
