Firearms amnesty sees 100 guns handed in

With one day to go, Lincolnshire Police is reporting that 100 firearms have been handed in during the 2014 amnesty.

The amnesty began on November 3 and ends tomorrow (Friday).

At 5pm on yesterday (Wednesday), the total number of firearms handed in was at 100. This includes handguns, rifles, shotguns, imitation weapons and air weapons.

Officers are urging anyone who has been thinking about handing in a weapon to do so tomorrow in a final push for the amnesty period.
