Four in Grantham court on drugs charges

Three men and a woman have been sent to crown court after they appeared before Grantham magistrates yesterday accused of drug offences.

Sophie Johnson, 20, Jonathon Laskey, 22, Christopher Wallace, 21, and Ashley Samual Wood, 21, were all committed to Lincoln Crown Court to appear on November 24. No pleas were entered. They were granted unconditional bail.

Miss Johnson, of Norfolk Street, King’s Lynn, Mr Wallace, of Sheldrake Close, Fakenham, and Mr Laskey, of Oak Street, Fakenham, are accused of possessing 135 grams of cannabis with intent to supply in Grantham town centre on May 1 last year and being concerned in the supply of 135 grams of cannabis between April 29 and May 1 in the East Midlands last year.

Mr Laskey is also accused of possessing 0.4 grams of cannabis in Grantham on May 1 last year and offering to supply a quantity of ecstasy between April 9 and April 11 last year.

Mr Wood, of Sherborne Road, Nottingham, is accused of being concerned in the supply of 135 grams of cannabis in Grantham between April 29 and May 2 last year, possessing 56.5 grams of cannabis with intent to supply on January 24 2014 in Hucknall, and using or possessing criminal property, namely about £2,000 in cash, in Hucknall on January 24.
