A woman who admitted causing unnecessary suffering to a cat has been banned from owning or keeping animals for five years.

Juliette Hindmarch, of Larch Close, Grantham, admitted two charges of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, firstly failing to provide a female tabby cat with the proper veterinary care and attention in respect of severe skin problems and secondly and failing to protect her from pain.

Hindmarch, 31, was sentenced to 120 hours of unpaid work and disqualified from owning or keeping animals for five years.
