A SPEED camera in Grantham was set on fire in the early hours of this morning (July 25), just two days after it had been repaired following a similar attack.

Vandals hung a flaming tyre around the speed camera in Gonerby Road, Gonerby Hill Foot at around 2am this morning.

Such attacks on speed cameras can cause up to £40,000 worth of damage.

Workmen carried out work to repair the speed camera on Friday after it was detsroyed in a similar attack - again using a flaming tyre - in April, 2009.
