A PREGNANT woman who damaged her ex-partner’s car had her case adjourned for a report.

Caroline Sykes, 28, of Marratts Court, Great Gonerby, admitted twisting the car windscreen wiper while shouting at her ex partner on March 18.

Sykes and her ex-partner, who are expecting a baby in three months, had split up at the time and he had returned to his father’s house in Sudbrook.

Jim Clare, prosecuting, said: “The relationship deteriorated through the defendant’s behaviour and the victim moved out. In February Sykes attended his house at around 9pm with her sister.

“She wanted to speak to the victim. She was referred to by various people as abusive, aggressive and threatening.”

Mr Clare said the ex-partner did not go outside so Sykes went to his cousin’s house and started shouting, but again she was not allowed in. She returned to her ex-partner’s house and he and his father came outside.

She continued to be abusive and damaged the car.

The ex-partner, who claimed she also kicked the car, asked for £1,600 compensation.

She disputed the sum.

Sykes will reappear at court on June 15.

She was released on conditional bail.
