A low loader vehicle stolen in Bottesford on Monday night (August 12) was later found discovered a couple of streets away, but with items missing.

The vehicle was taken from a property in Belvoir Road some time between 7pm that evening and 6am the following morning. It was recovered at waterworks in Normanton Lane.

The platform used to transport cars and a winch were removed, possibly with an angle grinder or similar tool, and a Tom Tom sat nav and ratchet straps were stolen.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area is asked to call Leicestershire Police on 101.
