Police have arrested a 30-year-old local man in connection with a break-in at a corner shop in Dudley Road, Grantham, overnight.

Cigarettes and alcohol were stolen from the Day-Today Express shop on the corner of Dudley Road and St Anne’s Street in the early hours of Monday morning. The window of the front door was smashed and police have taped off the front of the building while an investigation continues.

In December the shop was robbed when a man, wearing a scarf over his face, put a knife to the throat of a female shop assistant and got away with cash. The shop first opened in April last year.
