Man denies racially aggravated attack on Grantham taxi driver

A MAN denies assaulting a Grantham taxi driver in a racially aggravated attack.

At Grantham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, Stephen Maxwell, of Sandringham Drive in Grantham, pleaded not guilty to three charges; one of racially aggravated assault, one of racially aggravated harassment and one of assault by
beating.

Maxwell, 37, elected to stand trial at the magistrates’ court rather than trial by judge and jury.

His case will be heard on November 30.

He was granted bail on the condition that he does not contact the victim.
