A pensioner with Alzheimer’s has gone missing, prompting a police helicopter search to track him down.
John Setchwell, 85, was last seen by a carer at his Sandybrook home near Grantham at around 5pm yesterday (Saturday). When a relative visited that evening, Mr Setchwell was not at home.
He suffers from Alzheimer’s and is on medication for the condition. He is described as 5’6” with grey hair and a grey beard. It is believed that he was wearing a blue t-shirt, dark bottoms and possibly slippers.
Police have searched the area and used a helicopter with heat seeking equipment without success. The search of the area around his home will continue today using Louth Search and Rescue Dogs and a police helicopter and further ground searches by officers.
