A CRIME-FIGHTING dog walker who foiled a robber making his escape is being asked to come forward by police.
A suspected thief robbed a taxi driver in Earlesfield Lane and was fleeing the scene when the mystery dog walker tripped him up, allowing officers to catch up and make an arrest.
The publicity-shy hero then left the scene before officers could take his details.
Police are now appealing for the man to come forward as he could be able to provide evidence from the incident, which took place at around 9pm on Sunday, January 30.
Two men, a 23-year-old from Grantham and a 25-year-old from Dry Doddington, were charged with robbery. They will appear at crown court on April 20.
