A TEENAGER who kicked a man, who was sitting on a pavement, after a night out was given a 12 month community order by Grantham magistrates.
Jordan Smith, of Shakespeare Avenue, Grantham, was outside Pizza King, in Westgate, at 3.15am on June 19 when he was seen kicking out twice at a man on the pavement.
Eighteen-year-old Smith, who was put on a community order in May, then ran off.
Bill Fraser, defending, said: “It’s worrying that this is so soon after the last order. Once again drink is at the bottom of this offence. That’s why he did what he did. He’s got to sort out his drinking.
“When he’s sober he’s a nice young man.”
Smith, who admitted the charge, was given a 12 month community order with two requirements: he has to comply with supervision requirements and complete an alcohol treatment programme. He also had to pay £85 costs.
