A MAN who stole food from a nursery’s shed was fined £100.
Christopher Hallam, of Counthorpe Road, Creeton, admitted taking food including a chicken and some sausages on two occasions because he was hungry.
Rob Arthur, defending, said Hallam was living on the streets until about two months ago when he moved in with his father. But he had been left for days without money for food.
District Judge Richard Blake said: “I think you are somebody who can turn your back on crime. It is not working out well with your father is it?”
Hallam was also made to pay £35 costs and £15 to the victims of crime.
