A WOMAN admitted scratching a man’s car after he refused to answer the door to her.
Carly Botherway, of Manor Drive, Great Gonerby, admitted criminal damage.
Defending herself, Botherway told the court she damaged the car in frustration after being “harassed” by the car’s owner.
She said she had gone to the man’s home to confront him but he would not come out to speak to her.
Botherway was recognised by the victim’s son who checked the car and discovered the damage.
Chair of magistrates Dorothy Nix said: “This was a very foolish reaction. Should these claims of harassment continue you should get help.”
Botherway was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £43.
