A WOMAN was arrested on Sunday night following reports of shots being fired from an air rifle at children.
A 52-year-old Grantham woman was arrested on suspicion of discharging a weapon in a public place following the incident in the Belton Lane area of Grantham at 8pm on Sunday.
The incident took place after a group of youngsters aged between 11 and 17 were seen in the River Witham.
A 17-year-old male reported that he and his friends had been shot at.
Nobody was believed to have been hit or injured in the incident.
A 54-year-old Grantham man was also arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
The pair have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
