THE Diamond Grove project in Grantham’s Queen Elizabeth Park is now complete.

Children from Harrowby Infant School were invited to the park on Monday to help plant snowdrops, helping to complete the project which is in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Members of the Wyndham Park Forum were behind the project, with support from South Kesteven District Council. Waste management contractors Veolia also played an integral part in the project, preparing the area and planting trees in November, free of charge.

Snowdrops were donated by Belton House head gardener Fred Corin, Lady Ursula Cholmeley at Easton Walled Gardens, and Rosemary McCorquodale at Little Ponton Hall.
